Sketching out the Beginning of the Buyer Behavior Process


Assignment 12 A
The segment I will choose is women who are in college at the University of Florida. I interviewed three female sophomores who attend UF and they all said similar information. The need for free feminine hygiene products occurs when they get their period for the first time that month and are unprepared or are already on their period and are unprepared. When these three ladies are in either of these situations, the first thing they do is check their backpack or purse to see if they are carrying a product with them. If they aren’t, they will check for feminine hygiene products in the bathroom. Sometimes public restrooms have those you can pay $.50 for. If the bathroom does not have these products, they will use toilet paper as a temporary pad or tampon until they can get access to an actual one. Women in general typically don’t speak about this much with their family because our society as a whole doesn’t encourage open discussion about this issue. I would say that this segment needs a company like mine to supply them with those products in public restrooms for free. In conclusion, this is an issue that almost all female college students face, and on a larger scale, almost all women. Something needs to be done about this issue!
