Intro and Entrepreneurship Moments

Assignment 3A

Hi, everyone! I’m a second year Advertising and Painting double major in the Innovation Academy (IA). As part of the IA program, I participated in Catalyst which is essentially a science fair. We had to come up with a program related to health and wellness that would benefit the population of Florida. In a group of five, my peers and I created Bridge2Care, a program instilled within the UF curriculum that offered free peer counseling. We presented our service at Catalyst and won the People’s Choice Award, which meant that people voted for our group the most out of approximately 20 groups. This is shown in the image below.

I am enrolled in ENT3003 to fulfill a credit for my innovation minor. In this class, I would like to understand the inner workings of a business and how I can start up my own business as a young entrepreneur.

  1. Hey there! The (IA) program at you are a part of sounds fantastic! I want to join more organizations like that on campus this semester. But I think creating a program that offers students free peer counseling is an excellent idea. Many college students face difficulties in college, such as family, financial, and academic problems. Students need someone they can trust and vent to about their problems.

  2. Hey Alyna, a free peer counseling service sounds like an awesome idea! I know that counseling can be helpful for both academic and health reasons. I personally feel like people always need someone to talk to and that includes myself! Sometimes I feel like I have no idea what I am doing both with my classes and in life in general, ha-ha! Also, I have the same interests in learning how one could become a young entrepreneur and obtain success.
